Former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman has endorsed House Democratic Leader Fentrice Driskell in the Senate District 16 race, putting the city’s former and current mayors on opposite sides of the Democratic Primary after Mayor Ken Welch endorsed Rep. Michele Rayner. The winner of the Aug. 18 Democratic Primary will claim the seat, because no Republican qualified.
