Kirschner slams Medicare subsidy cut

Democratic congressional candidate Kelly Kirschner is criticizing the Trump administration’s decision to end a Medicare Part D subsidy program that helped keep prescription drug premiums affordable, calling on Republican opponent Sydney Gruters to oppose the move. Kirschner said the change will raise costs for thousands of seniors in Florida’s 16th Congressional District, and pledged to support legislation capping families’ annual out-of-pocket health care costs at $5,000.
