Retired St. Petersburg police leaders Cedric Gordon and Al White have endorsed Charlie Crist for mayor, adding two longtime figures in the city’s Black community to his coalition. Gordon retired as an assistant police chief and White as a sergeant after both served more than three decades with the department. Crist faces Mayor Ken Welch in the Nov. 3 runoff.
