Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was in town yesterday, and he couldn’t miss an opportunity to stop by his favorite local spot, Violet Stone. According to the restaurant’s co-owner Daniel Fekete, DeSantis is smitten with the food, ordering some 10 or so cheese steaks and a large pie for himself and his cohort. “He was honestly raving,” laughed Fekete. “Going up to all the customers, saying ‘it’s the best pizza and cheesesteak in the state.’ He was like a little salesman for us!”
