During the Sept. 24 Pinellas County Legislative Delegation meeting, Senator Nick DeCiglie and Representative Kimberly Berfield were nominated as the new Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. Senator Ed Hooper announced his support for the two lawmakers, and the motion was forthwith put to a vote, passing in situ. DeCiglie, who already serves as Vice Chair, will succeed Chairperson Rep. Adam Anderson, leaving his old seat open to Berfield for 2026-2027.
