Navy veteran and community advocate Luis Salazar has launched his campaign for the Florida House of Representatives in District 64, promising to bring “principled, people-first leadership” to Tallahassee. A first-generation college graduate and bilingual communicator fluent in English and Spanish, Salazar said his Navy service shaped his commitment to integrity and public service. “Serving in the Navy taught me what it truly means to serve, putting people first, leading with integrity, and standing up for what’s right,” he said. Campaign Manager Nick Biscardi described Salazar as a leader defined by “accountability and compassion.” His campaign will focus on affordable housing, education, veterans’ services and expanding opportunity for Floridians.
