Teen U.S. citizen released after nine months in Israeli detention

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14) announced the release of Mohammed Ibrahim, a 16-year-old U.S. citizen held in Israeli detention for more than nine months. Castor stayed in contact with Ibrahim’s family during his detention and joined other lawmakers in urging the Trump Administration and the State Department to address the case. She said the release underscores ongoing concerns about due process and human rights protections for civilians, particularly children, in conflict zones.
