Why are you running for office?

I simply got tired of watching career politicians take a paycheck and doing little to help me or the average resident of Pinellas County or the State of Florida. I like to think outside of the box and have a bunch of original ideas and I can’t do worse than what they have done.

What is your top priority on day 1?

Wake up and eat a good breakfast because it’s going to be a busy day. In all seriousness, I’m sure that I’ll be meeting and greeting all of those in the County Government that I’ll need to interact with on a daily basis. Then on to planning for day #2.

Other than your day 1 priority, what keeps you up at night?

Right now it is fundraising. “Money makes the world go around” and “He who has the money, makes the rules”, at least that’s what I’m told? Without money in my campaign, I can’t be as effective to get my message out to the rest of the Pinellas County residents to vote for me in November.

What’s something you’ve heard from residents that really stuck with you?

“Be kind, be yourself and your message will get out there.” I’ve already heard a lot about the issues that are directly affecting my fellow Pinellas County residents… property taxes, food prices, jobs/unemployment, lack of services, affordable housing and more. The list seems to be growing on a daily basis.

For the seat you’re seeking, what is something you wish government did more of?

I wish they’d focus more on the local problems around them than trying to please the State of Florida Governor and his and the GOP’s priorities. The current government is failing to listen to the will of their constituents.

For the seat you’re seeking, what is something you wish government did less of?

I wish they did a little less talking and a lot more action/listening to the residents and what problems that they need resolved today, not 4 years from now.

How will you measure your success?

I guess when I get re-elected in 2030, that would be one way. Another will be to look at my first 4 years, and be able to ask, “Did I make a positive difference in Pinellas County resident’s lives?” and the answer is, “yes, you did!”

How do you recharge when you're not campaigning or working?

I have a lot of hobbies that keep my mind sharp and focused and my fingers busy. I like to take short trips visiting all corners of Florida. When I’m not travelling, I’m playing strategy games, painting small miniatures, or building some new LEGO collection.
